If your unit has power (power light is ON) but is not operating, follow the steps below.
Quick Checks
- Power cord is securely plugged in
- Power light is ON
- Unit is not in OFF mode
- Unit is set to HEAT or COOL mode
π Click to set your unit to Heat or Cool mode
If all are correct, continue below.
Step 1: Is the display responsive?

No (no response when pressing buttons)
β Continue to Step 2 -
Yes (display responds but unit does not run)
β Go to Step 4
Step 2: Try a power reset
- Turn the unit OFF
- Unplug the unit
- Wait 1β2 minutes
- Plug back in and turn ON
Does the unit respond?
- Yes β Issue resolved
- No β Continue to Step 3
Step 3: Check for control lock or unresponsive panel
- Try pressing multiple buttons (MODE, FAN, TEMP)
- Ensure no buttons are stuck
If still unresponsive:
β Possible control board or display issue
Step 4: Is a wall thermostat connected?

Yes
β The unit may be controlled by the thermostatπ Go to: Switching from Wall Thermostat to Display Control
- No β Continue to Step 5
Step 5: Check Dip Switch Configuration
Incorrect dip switch settings can prevent operation.

Step 6: Check for system protection delay
- The unit may delay startup after power is restored
- Wait a few minutes and observe
Does the unit start?
- Yes β Issue resolved
- No β Continue to Step 7
Step 7: Issue still not resolved?
This may indicate:
- Control board failure
- Internal wiring issue
- Sensor or safety circuit fault
