This video explains how to switch between wired thermostat control and display panel control on applicable Genuine Comfort GC42E units.
Applicable Models
These instructions apply ONLY to the following model configurations:
- GC42E-07K_-3
- GC42E-09K_-3
- GC42E-12K_-3
- GC42E-15K_-3
Do not use these instructions for other Genuine Comfort models. Confirm your model number on the unit's rating plate before proceeding.
Disconnect Power Before Changing DIP Switches
The unit must be powered OFF and unplugged from the wall receptacle before making any changes to the DIP switches.
Do not change DIP-switch positions while the unit is connected to power.
Follow the instructions in the video to configure the unit for either:
- Wired thermostat control
- Display panel control
If the unit does not respond correctly after following the video, Submit a Request to Genuine Comfort Support.
