This video explains how to connect and control applicable Genuine Comfort GC42E units using a wireless thermostat and receiver.
Applicable Models
These instructions apply ONLY to the following model configurations:
- GC42E-07K_-3
- GC42E-09K_-3
- GC42E-12K_-3
- GC42E-15K_-3
Do not use these instructions for other Genuine Comfort models. Confirm your model number on the unit's rating plate before proceeding.
Disconnect Power Before Changing DIP Switches or Wiring
The unit must be powered OFF and unplugged from the wall receptacle before making any changes to the DIP switches or thermostat wiring.
Do not change DIP-switch positions or connect/disconnect thermostat wiring while the unit is connected to power.
Follow the instructions in the video to:
- Configure the required DIP switches
- Identify the appropriate wires from the unit's wiring harness
- Connect the wireless thermostat receiver
- Complete the thermostat setup and test operation
